Not a fact, just a context: Coliin is a Dungeons and Dragons (5e) NPC that acts as my DM character, so this is gonna be very DnD heavy
1. Coliin is a Level 18 Sorcerer. He is not spec'd into any particular school of magic, but he dislikes casting Necromancy spells, and therefore has none in his spell list. He also thinks divination is a complete bullshit art and begrudges the fact that Detect Magic is kind of necessary for his job as a magical artificer.
2. Despite not going for any particular school of magic, he specialises in spells to manipulate Space, Himself, and Others. He lacks midrange Evocation, having damaging cantrips and pocketing both Prismatic spray and Incendiary cloud, instead using his mid-level slots for things such as Charm Person, Invisibility, Alter self, Fly, Globe of invulnerability and Dominate person. Due to his Species he is able to use Suggestion freely, as if it were a cantrip.
3. His sorcerous origin is that of Wild magic, meaning his magic is inherently Chaotic and has the occasional unintended side effect. He has become Very accustomed to using Metamagic to mask his causation of certain effects.
4. The bag he wears on his head is most definitely enchanted, if not cursed. It is powered by Enchantment magic and acts as if it were Bigger On The Inside. He stores things in it. He is, most likely, incapable of taking it off. Its.... Probably cursed.
5. The facial expression on his bag does not shift on the bag itself, although it does change to match his actual expresssions. It does this by seemingly clipping through itself to just fall off in one piece, revealing a new bag, every time his face changes, or flies off comically be it a particularly surprised or shocked expression. These bags are all fully tangible and real items. He leaves a trail of paper bags wherever he goes, unless he keeps a perfect poker face.
6. Coliin has a bad habit of casting high level spells for menial tasks or just because he can if he knows he's got chance to restore his spell slots soon. This usually manifests as casting Dominate Person in higher and higher slots just to see if he can.
7. He LOVES games of chance, going so far as to not distribute gear to those who it would most suit, just to put it in a lucky dip style get-what-youre-given game instead.
8. Despite his natural ability to use mild Telepathy in the form of suggestion, and his affinity for Charm spells and brainwashing, Coliin is incredibly susceptible to mind control himself. He also bleeds out incredibly quickly, with his blood being slow to clot also- not great for someone who carries a grand total of Zero healing spells. His battle strategy is literally to just "be faster than they are at mind control", which is risky, but seems to work.
